OB/GYN Trip Jan 30 - Feb 7, 2009

With each group, we are able to see just how quickly Hearts in Motion is growing!
With roughly half of the 61 volunteers, this being their first trip, it was a great group that got a lot accomplished. Throughout the week there were surgeries preformed, trainings for the local nurses on how to do cervical screenings and cryos, General medical and OB/GYN clinics in villages up to 3 and a half hours away, and Bomberos trainings. (please see the following post)
*Totals for the week:
General Medical patients seen - 1,621
Cervical Cancer screenings - 239
Cryos - 12
Surgeries - 19
As the numbers show, this group had thier work cut out for them, and they did a fabulous job! Thank you to each and every one of you for your time and energy spent here in Guatemala!
